IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD 2018 – 2020
OBJECTIVE: to contribute to the economic development of the local authorities of the countries of the Eastern Partnership: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, namely, the sustainable local economic development, providing support to the cities, united communities, towns and villages at the local level aimed to promote actively the economic growth and create jobs through the development of their potential and professional skills, as well as establishing partnerships with the private sector and civil society.
MAIN RESULTS:
Due to the assistance of the Agency, 7 communities of Vinnytsia region (Bar Town TC, Zhmerynka, Lytin, Pohrebyshche, Hnivan, Snitkiv, Tulchyn) joined the Initiative and became the members of the "Mayors for Economic Growth" club. 4 communities of them developed the local economic development plans that were approved by World Bank experts and received the opportunity in 2021 to attract EU funds in the amount of EUR 500,000 to EUR 1 million for the implementation of activities of their own Economic Development Plans.
The initiative was established at the expense of the European Union funds in 2017 to support the mayors and municipalities in the Eastern Partnership countries. The Agency was a regional partner.
