On November 6, a round table discussion entitled “Key Aspects of Regional Policy on the Path to European Integration” was held in Kyiv, bringing together representatives of parliament, government, the Agency for Regional Development (ARD), and international partners to discuss how to prepare Ukrainian regions for the effective use of EU funds and strengthen institutional capacity at the local level.
During the session “Ukrainian RDAs: practices and experience,” the director of the Agency, Yelyzaveta Savchuk, spoke on the topic “Developing partnerships, preparing and implementing projects of regional significance to increase practical capacity for the effective use of EU funds.”
Yelyzaveta shared the experience of the Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency: in her presentation, she emphasized the importance of a project-based approach and practical tools that help communities prepare for future opportunities under the EU's cohesion policy—from training personnel and attracting investment to creating sustainable partnerships with European regions.
The Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency thanks the UCORD team for supporting participation in such events, which contribute to the development of a common vision for Ukraine's new regional policy based on partnership, knowledge, and sustainable development.
The event was organized by the Committee on State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning with the support of the UCORD Project and in cooperation with the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
