The Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency team focuses on sustainable development, where the principle of equality is key. That is why manager Alina Yanchuk took part in the international training course “Integrating the Gender Perspective into Youth Work” in Istanbul, which took place from November 8 to 16.
During the intensive program, participants deepened their knowledge of gender equality and worked on practical tools for implementing gender-sensitive approaches, including topics such as gender-based violence, the role of the media in promoting it, and an analysis of the European Strategy for Gender Equality. This is an important step towards making youth spaces and initiatives as safe, inclusive, and supportive as possible for the development of all young people.
The result of fruitful collaboration and exchange of international experience was the development of an important practical document. The team of participants created a Comprehensive Guide to Gender-Sensitive Youth Work: Creating Safe, Inclusive, and Development-Friendly Spaces for All Young People. Integrating international experience into the Agency's work will strengthen the capacity of communities to create equal opportunities for young people in Vinnytsia region.
The training was organized with the support of the Erasmus+ program and aimed to integrate effective methods of gender equality into youth work.
