On November 24-25, the Montazh space hosted a two-day visionary workshop entitled “UMCA: The Audacity to Dream During Wartime” — an event that brought together those who believe in the power of art even in times of greatest challenge.
During the event, artists, cultural managers, and representatives of creative communities discussed what a contemporary art institution should be like today, when the country is experiencing war and transformation.
The participants presented their visionary concepts—bold, sometimes provocative, but honest. These concepts formed the basis for further discussion about the future model of an art institution created with the participation of the community.
The Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency was represented by manager Inna Yatsyuk, who joined the conversation about how art institutions can work with communities, support local identity, and become points of stability in difficult times.
The event was implemented as part of the Creative Europe program, which explores innovative models for the art institutions of the future. Organizers: NGO MSM and NGO Plai with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
