Alina Yanchuk, manager of the Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency, joined the international training course “Youth for Open Governance” held in Barcelona, Spain, which brought together experts from European and Eastern Partnership countries to discuss transparency, youth participation, and policy co-creation tools.
The focus of the work was on stakeholder mapping, civic tech for the youth sector, participatory budgeting, policy development, digital advocacy campaigns, and the preparation of local action plans.
International exchange of experience contributes to the professional development of experts and broadens understanding of modern approaches to open governance at the local and regional levels.
It is worth noting that Vinnytsia (Vinnytsia City Council) is already a participant in the international Open Government Partnership initiative, which the city joined in 2020. Within the framework of this program, open government tools are being implemented in the community, giving residents more opportunities to participate in decision-making, in particular through public initiatives, electronic petitions, public hearings, and the activities of the Interaction Offices.
The training course “Youth for Open Governance” is organized by Associació Formació i Sensibilització Barcelona with the support of the Open Government Partnership and is funded under the Erasmus+ Program.
