Eng.: Energy resilience has become one of the key indicators of a community’s ability to ensure security, service continuity, and sustainable development even under the most challenging conditions.
A conference titled “Community Energy Resilience: Between Security and Transformation” was recently held in Lviv, where participants discussed current challenges and solutions in the areas of energy security, municipal energy development, and community recovery. Yulia Boboshko, a manager at the WASAW Agency, took part in the event.
Conference participants discussed mechanisms for enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure, the development of municipal energy companies, modern approaches to energy management, financing for energy projects, and the implementation of tools that help communities effectively plan their development in the face of new challenges.
Particular attention was paid to the practical experience of Ukrainian communities in implementing the European Energy Label and the opportunities offered by the MEMCU project, which promotes the development of municipal energy management in Ukraine.
We are pleased that among the conference organizers is the “Energy-Efficient Cities of Ukraine” Association—a partner of the Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency with whom we have a memorandum of cooperation. Our shared vision of sustainable development, energy efficiency, and strengthening community capacity creates additional opportunities for implementing modern approaches to resource management and territorial development.
ℹ This event was organized as part of the “#MEMCU / Certification of Municipal Energy Management in Ukraine” project, funded by Switzerland through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and the “ESINERGY” project, co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg Danube Region program.
