A roundtable discussion titled “Regional Partnerships for Sustainable Community Development” was held today, bringing together representatives of local governments, regional military administrations, and regional development agencies from the Vinnytsia, Poltava, and Cherkasy regions to discuss practical mechanisms for interregional cooperation, share success stories, and identify new opportunities for developing partnerships between communities.
In today’s environment, interregional partnerships are becoming a vital tool for pooling resources, finding common solutions, and implementing projects that promote sustainable development and community recovery. The professional discussion among event participants focused precisely on these issues.
The discussion was joined by Yelyzaveta Savchuk, Director of the Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency; Svitlana Tul, Acting Director of the “Office of European Integration” at the Poltava Regional Development Agency; Ilona Prykhodko, Director of the Cherkasy Regional Development Agency; Inessa Ratushnyak, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Regional Development at the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration; Serhiy Danylenko, Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Development at the Cherkasy Regional State Administration; Olesia Drobotenko, Head of the Department of Investment Activities and Project Management at the Poltava Regional Council; Ihor Shutak, Head of the Secretariat of the Vinnytsia Regional Association of Local Self-Government Bodies;
Olga Oliinyk, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the All-Ukrainian Association of Local Self-Government Bodies (VOAOMS), who shared practical experience in developing interregional cooperation, successful examples of community partnerships, and tools to support such initiatives.
Special attention was given to practical case studies of local communities. Participants learned about the experiences of the Dykanska settlement community in Poltava Oblast, the Irkliivska rural community in Cherkasy Oblast, and the Illinetska urban community in Vinnytsia Oblast, all of which are already successfully implementing interregional partnerships and joint initiatives.
During the roundtable, participants discussed models of interregional community partnerships, cooperation in the field of recovery, tools for finding partners, as well as the opportunities that such collaboration opens up for implementing joint projects, mobilizing resources, and strengthening community capacity.
We sincerely thank all the speakers and partners for their cooperation, insightful presentations, openness to dialogue, and willingness to share their experiences. We are confident that the new professional contacts and ideas that emerged during the roundtable will serve as the foundation for future interregional partnerships and joint projects that will contribute to the sustainable development of Ukrainian communities.
